To ensure the health and safety of all attendees, staff, speakers, and sponsors, Connect.Tech 2021 is following this COVID-19 policy.


This is the 8th year of Connect.Tech, and we're in it for the long-haul.

There will be NO REFUNDS this year, but if you are unable to attend, and you cancel within 2 to 4 weeks (or before) of the event, we can transfer your registration to 2022. Any cancellations within 2 weeks are not eligible for transferring or refunds


Event format

This event will be in-person, at the venue indicated on the main page. We are planning the event for reduced attendance compared to previous years. Revisions will be made in accordance with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and federal, state, and local requirements.


Vaccinations

All badge holders at Connect.Tech must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, bring proof of a negative Covid test taken within 2 days of the event, or take a rapid test onsite prior to checking in at the event.

Proof of COVID-19 vaccination must be provided at onsite check-in to receive your Connect.Tech. Acceptable records include your physical COVID-19 vaccination/immunization card, a photo of the front and back of your vaccination/immunization card, or a digital verification from a smartphone application. The name on your vaccination record must match your government issued ID. You may also bring proof of a negative Covid test taken within 2 days of the event, or take a rapid test onsite prior to checking in at the event.


Masks

Masks are required for everyone at Connect.Tech 2021.

Masks must completely cover your nose and mouth and fit snugly against the sides of the face. Attendees will need to provide their own mask that complies with this guidance, Face shields, bandannas, and masks with ventilation will not be allowed. Masks may be removed while eating and drinking.


Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the event space.


Policy enforcement & Health Checks

Please do not attend if you are sick or feeling unwell. There will be a daily health checking, including a temperature check, for every participant regardless of vaccination status..

A single violation of the rules can result in removal from the venue by venue security or law enforcement.


FAQ


Do you require those attending to be vaccinated against COVID-19?

Yes, or you must bring proof of a negative Covid test taken within 2 days of the event or take a COVID-19 test onsite with a negative result


What date do I need to be vaccinated by to participate?

You must have received your second dose of a two dose series, or for a single dose series such as J&J, by October 25


How do I verify my COVID-19 vaccination to attend?

Bring record of your COVID-19 vaccination status to onsite check-in to receive your badge. Acceptable records include your physical COVID-19 vaccination/immunization card, a photo of the front and back of your vaccination/immunization card, or a digital verification from a smartphone application. Will I also need to provide proof of a COVID-19 booster shot to attend?

No.


Can I attend with proof of a negative COVID-19 test instead of proof of vaccination against COVID-19?

Yes, but the test must have been taken within 2 days of the event or must be performed at our health center immediately before entry (please allow for 60 to 90 minutes for this process).


Are masks required at Connect.Tech 2021?

Yes.

Will food and beverages still be offered?

Yes. Drinks, meals, and snacks will be offered. We will follow all local and venue guidelines for service.


Will I be required to maintain social distancing from other attendees?

No, however, the venue will be configured such that seating will have more space, outdoor areas for networking, etc., to provide for less density.


What if I don't want to be near other attendees?

Lanyards will be color coded so that individuals are able to indicate their comfort level with social distancing. For example, green lanyards will mean that person is OK with hand-shakes and normal personal space. Yellow lanyards will mean that person does not want any close interactions.


How can I register my vaccination record early so I don't have to wait in line?

Details for this will be emailed to attendee so that early verification can be done.


How can I take a COVID test that meets the conference requirements?

You can bring proof of a negative Covid test taken within 2 days of the conference. There will also be a health team on-site that must administer and verify the test. The cost to the attendee will be $50 per day (reminder - a negative test result must be produced by unvaccinated persons). Vaccinated persons only need to show their proof of vaccination, and do not need a daily test.
